Affiliation Information

WA Band Association would like to invite your band to become affiliated with the association, and hence the National Band Council of Australia (NBCA).

Who can become a WABA Affiliate?

WABA affiliation, also known as membership, is open to concert bands and brass bands that are registered in Western Australia.

What are the benefits of WABA Affiliation?

• WABA's main task is staging the annual state band contest and festival. As an affiliated band your entry to this is discounted.
• Participation in other WABA organised events including multiple band performances at venues such as Government House gardens, Araluen, Whiteman Park.
• Workshops – massed band, percussion, and others.
• Subsided OneMusic Licence.
• Dissemination of information – WABA will frequently forward information to bands on a number of things from concerts to music sales to whatever else music related.
• WABA will promote YOUR events – posted on our website and Facebook page and emailed to band contacts.
• Networking and fellowship with other bands.
• A chance to have your band representative influence the direction of the state association and banding world by being a delegate on the board (committee).
